Turkey Red in Scotland

I recently attended a conference at Leeds City Museum entitled 'Art versus Industry'. One of the papers was presented by Dr Sally Tuckett, a post-doc researcher in the History department of Edinburgh University. She is working on a collaborative project between the University and the National Museum of Scotland, examining the museum's collection of material relating to the production of Turkey Red in Scotland.

The project website is really worth a look and has a brilliant image gallery.
